Tour Itinerary
Description

Today, escape the crowds to explore Kampong Khleang, the largest floating community on Tonlé Sap Lake (“Great Lake”), home to 10,000+ residents. Enjoy a scenic boat ride past stilted houses, floating schools, and temples, while witnessing daily village life and the community’s adaptation to seasonal water changes.

Tonlé Sap Lake is a geographical marvel, where the Tonle Sap River reverses flow between seasons, causing dramatic water level shifts. In the dry season, towering stilt houses are exposed; in the wet season, they become partially submerged. The local economy revolves around fishing, producing fermented, dried, and smoked fish products.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in a traditional stilted house.

Remark: During Feb–May (dry season), low water levels may limit boat access but reveal exposed lakebeds and village structures.

In the afternoon, visit Beng Mealea, a jungle-hidden temple with overgrown ruins and wooden walkways, offering a true adventure atmosphere.

Return to your hotel to relax. Alternatively, explore Bakong Temple, the earliest Angkor mountain temple and the largest of the Roluos group.
